I'm putting this post in my music blog, but forgive me, I know not all of this content is going to be solely music. With finding out about my new job yesterday, I figured I'd list a few of my favorite things right now. Here goes:

1) Ingrid Michaelson

I'm still loving her stuff and I got tickets to see her when she comes to NYC on November 16, 2007. I'm going with my boyfriend and I can't wait!

2) Sara Bareilles

Sara is a VH1 You Oughta Know artist, and I've been meaning to take a listen to her stuff. She's pretty good. She falls along the lines of the music I've been loving lately, which include the likes of Ingrid Michaelson, KT Tunstall, and A Fine Frenzy. Check out her music on her official website:

3) My new job!

As I mentioned in my previous post (private post in my 'Keepin' It Real' group), I've been at the job search for 5 months while also working full-time, and I received an offer yesterday to work at a major cosmetics and fragrance company doing e-mail marketing. In case you're interested in knowing what the company and division is, please PM me. I'm so exciting about it. I know a handful of you have been following me with this, and I apprecriate all the good wishes that I've received Smiling thanks girls.

4) The movie 'Gone Baby Gone'

Yesterday, after the good news about the job, my boyfriend and I went to see 'Gone Baby Gone.' It was such a great movie, and was an amazing way to end a great day! Smiling

The movie is a detective story, and as many of you know Casey Affleck is the lead. I know he does indie movies but I've never seen his work before, except Oceans but that doesn't really count. He did an amazing job in this role, and he was definitely great for the part. He played it so convincingly. What I loved about the movie is that it takes you along the journey of these two detectives, Casey's character and his character's girlfriend (who happen to be partners in crime). They are hired by the aunt of a missing girl to find her, in addition to the cops. Don't worry I'm not going to spoil it for y'all Sticking out tongue. The story takes you to a certain point, and it makes you think it's a very simple story line and that it might even be over...but then the story takes a turn and becomes more of an involved case. What's very interesting throughout the movie, is how all the characters struggle with the gray areas of right and wrong. Casey at the end ultimately makes a decision, that is 'gray.' I'm not going to say more because I don't want to ruin it for you. But I think it was good that the movie ended with that decision, because it leaves the story sorta open to interpretation and even discussion.

I'll be starting the new job in 2 weeks, and already know that I probably won't have the luxury to go on sugar as much as I used to (while at work). But even if I can't get on here during work hours, I'll still be checking in during the evening and on weekends and what not. A new job can't get me off here that easily Eye-wink hehe.

Love,
t.
